Facebook to merge Instagram and Messenger soon

Facebook will soon flip the switch on integrating the message systems for Instagram and Messenger. Several editors at The Verge have found on Friday evening a pop up updated screen (on both iOS and Android) in Instagram’s mobile app with the message “There’s a New Way to Message on Instagram”. A list of several features including a colorful attractive look for the chats, more emoticons, swipe to reply and chat with Facebook friends have been updated.

New features on Instagram

On updating your Instagram’s application, you will see on Instagram the arrow Dm icon is replaced by the Messenger logo of Facebook. Chat on Instagram has become more exciting and attractive with the sender’s message becoming blue to purple as you scroll down. The ability to message Facebook friends from Instagram will be available very soon.

Facebook brings a change in the messaging world

Facebook has made it clear that it is going to combine all its popular apps and allow cross-messaging among Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram. It had already declared previously that it will rebuild its underlying infrastructure that will help users to connect from one of its apps to others using Facebook.

The CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg wants his system to be end to end encrypted. The integration factor may help Facebook to compete straightforward with Apple’s iMessage. In 2012, Facebook had bought the Instagram’s application for $1 billion and WhatsApp for $19 billion in 2014. The company is yet to reply to the comments.
