The Apple 5G iPhone 12 is going to release in November 2020, and there is already a considerable hype around it. Rumors are flying in the air, and tech experts are busy guessing the features of this model. So, before you get a chance to see the real model of the 5G Apple iPhone, let’s check the guess and speculations related to this phone model.

As per the latest speculations, the 5.4 inch and 6.1-inch models of the iPhone 12 will be compatible with sub-6Hz 5G signals. It is the newest spectrum that can travel faster than airwaves and can also penetrate surfaces better. But,  the downloading speed in 5G is lower than the mmWave frequency. Some people are also guessing that the 6.1 inches iPhone 12 pro and 6.7 inches iPhone 12 Pro Max will support the same spectrum as the classic iPhone 12 models.

Apple may make some alterations in its 5G network for their iPhone 13 (release time: 2021)

According to Digitimes, all iPhone models of 12 series will support the sub-6Hz mmWave 5G spectrum, including the  5G Apple iPhone. It is expected as US mobile network carriers use different types of 5G spectrum in recent times. For example, The carrier company Verizon has designed the 5G network based on the mmWave range. They offer 5G service in only some selected areas in the US.

On the other hand, T-mobile uses a 600MHz spectrum and can provide 5G service throughout the country. Apple sells their models through these two prominent careers in the US. So, if they want to see a good sell, iPhone 12 should support all types of 5G service.

But, the reality may be different from what you assume. Apple may go back to basics for its next iPhone 13 model releasing in 2021. That phone may support either mmWave 5G or sub-6GHz 5G. As per DigiTimes’ speculation, the 2020 iPhone will support both 5G variations, but Apple may change its policy and design a model with only one network type. As per Taiwan industry experts, it is aimed at area-specific sales.

Apple might sell a model with limited 5G support if only one type of network is available in a country. Some places do not have mmWave 5G. In those areas, the iPhone 13 will only support sub-6GHz at less price. Additionally, Apple may block 5G support if a country does have the infrastructure for it. In this case, the manufacturing company may need to disable certain hardware parts all together or change the hardware system.

Macorakara, from Japan, leaked some potential information related to the 5G Apple iPhone 12. As per their sources, Apple might launch the newest model at the end of October 2020. The Pro max models may get a release in November. The source also claims a 4G-LTE model will be available from October. But Apple has no plan for 4G-LTE models for iPhone 12.

Battery life- what to expect?

A tipster also made some probable guesses about the iPhone 12 battery life. The newest model has a battery from a Korean company. It may come with a 2775 mAH battery. If it is true, then the iPhone 12 will share the same battery life as the 2018 iPhone XS(2685mAh) or iPhone XR(2942mAh). Apple increased the battery capacity of the iPhone 11 in 2019. So, many people expected the battery to be better in the new  5G Apple iPhone.

The tweet may seem justified because another leak in the previous week made similar guesses. It is relevant that the iPhone 12 Max and iPhone 12 Pro models will have a 2775 mAh battery. It can be a major meltdown for iPhone users. The 5G network consumes more power, and a more robust battery is better.

Users are already praising the 3969 mAh battery of iPhone 11 Pro Max. But, Apple may have some ideas to counter this situation. As per official news, Apple uses the A14 Bionic chip and 5nm process to design 12 models. The chips are better at energy saving. But, they might not be able to a drastic change in battery life.

Since there is no official confirmation from Apple, nothing is sure. People need to wait for any official announcement or the official launch of the iPhone 12 series.
