Microsoft representative, Jerry Nixon stated, “Right now we’re releasing Windows 10, and because Windows 10 is the last version of Windows, we’re all still working on Windows 10.” So as you can see, an official release of Windows 12 is not happening any time soon. But the thing is there is a new operating system on the horizon from some dedicated developers which is based on Linux. The new OS is called Windows 12 Lite. But for the name, people confused it with an official Windows release.

Windows 12 Lite

Windows 12 Lite is 64-bit Ubuntu operating system, based on, Linux as mentioned earlier. The developers promised that this OS is 3X faster than current Windows 10, and comes with less boot time. You will also be able to able yo update the operating system on your terms, means it will not force you to update the system as Windows 10 does. But on the other hand, it is a Linux thing more than the Windows 12 Lite thing.

But if you ask for a recommendation, I would rather request you stay away from it. The main reason is, this is not an official Windows OS. So the chance of getting any after-sales assistance is nearly zero. Also, the OS is built on Ubuntu, so if you are not families with Linux, you will not able to get the full performance of the Windows 12 Lite operating system. On the other hand, if you are already familiar with Linux, you can make it look like Windows any day, no need to spend £15.
